Social Impact

Socio-environmental responsibility and governance matteer

“We want to be remembered not only for the revolution we created, but also for how we got here.” David Vélez, Founder and CEO of Nubank

Our work to promote financial inclusion

Brazil has one of the highest bank fees in the world – and one of the worst services. It is the direct result of the banking concentration that has always prevented millions of people to access a fairer financial system.

We believe it is our role to improve this situation and create a positive impact on society.

See here a report on financial inclusion facilitated by Nubank in Brazil (Portuguese Only)

Fee Stats

Ever since we were founded, we’ve saved billions of reais in abusive fees for our customers. Fees that are now kept in people’s pockets, rather than in bank safes.

We serve 100 percent of Brazilian cities

Being able to reach so many places is vital in a country like Brazil, which has more than 46 million unbanked people.

The importance of financial education

Talking about money is still taboo for the major part of the population. And we need to change that.

Nubank has financial education platforms to help people get more information and make better decisions on their money.

Our commitment to creating a more diverse Nubank

Building strong and diverse teams has always been one of our pillars at Nubank. And we know that does not just happen: we must work every day towards creating a more plural and inclusive workplace.

61.3% of the leadership positions at Nubank are held by people from underrepresented groups.

We are making some progress, but our work is still in the beginning.

We want to be one of the most diverse and inclusive companies in the world, where everyone feels welcome and valued.
